Teachers are reporting back to school at Point Dume Marine Sciences Elementary School this morning.

The kids will be back tomorrow.

Point Dume’s teachers went in last week for training on strategies to deal with students who may have some issues with this tragedy in Malibu.

The school also have a team of mental health specialists on campus to help parents and the kids if needed.

The school principal … Dave Jackson … says the school has been cleaned top to bottom by a restoration company.

The school passed all the tests to make our campus a safe place for our students and staff.

Children who normally attend Juan Cabrillo Elementary are welcome to attend supervised activities at Point Dume until their school reopens later this week.

Malibu High is on track to reopen a week from Tuesday.

Rain should arrive late tomorrow night … with most of the rain on Wednesday and possible thunderstormy showers on Thursday.

Again …. between one and two inches are possible.

Today will be sunny and cool … the forecast is coming up.
