Recall Petition Language Unveiled – Peak And Mullen Targeted

Written by on January 30, 2019

Recall notices against two city council members have been publicized by the newspaper publisher who is circulating them.

Cece Woods … owner of the The Local Malibu … aims to remove from office her former political allies Skylar Peak and Rick Mullen .

Woods … a long time and frequently-bitter critic of city manager Reva Feldman … has capitalized on public anger over the lack of county fire trucks … and the sheriff’s office evacuation snafus … to again target the city manager.

Writing in the Nextdoor dot com website … she vows that the recall effort will not be stopped unless the city council fires the city manager.

Woods writes that the city council’s “attempt made to initiate an independent investigation into her performance during Woolsey will not stop this recall.”
And she writes that she will not stop her political effort to recall Mullen and Peak unless Feldman is fired.

Woods writes that her online petitions … booing Feldman at public meetings … countless e-mails and more … again quoting … “have not done anything to motivate Council to fire someone who has spit in the face of this community over and over.”

Cece Woods actively campaigned for Mullen and Peak during the elections .. but she turned on them when they voiced support for Feldman’s job performance.

Mullen has said during city council meetings that Woods has a longstanding grudge against Feldman … and is using the fire as an excuse to go after her.
