Malibu’s city council … hearing about a pending recall petition drive against two of its members … has voted to hire an independent expert to evaluate the city’;s response to the Woolsey Fire disaster.

A Malibu native and longtime worker at Malibu High School has been appointed as a school board member in Port Hueneme. just up the coast.
Siguen Costanza is a familiar face at Malibu High School … where she works as program coordinator at the Malibu Boys and Girls Club.
In a Facebook post … Costanza says when she arrived in the USA she was just a teenager.
Malibu was the first city that she arrived in as soon as I landed.
In her words:
“I was not able to speak or understand English at all,
I cried for 6 months, thinking how will I be able to do that. “
She goes on to thank the Malibu community … the Boys & Girls Club of Malibu … parent groups at Malibu High … and past principals Mike Matthews, Pat Cairns and Mark Kelly.
