Downtown Malibu Sees Supermarket Grand Opening

Whole Foods in the Park opens next week … and tomorrow the chain store will celebrate its arrival in Malibu.
Whole Foods Market will also host a pre-opening “Party in the Parking Lot” tomorrow.
It’s in Malibu’s new shopping center … The Park at Cross Creek.
Developer Steve Soboroff has brought in the 25 thousand square foot Whole Foods to anchor a most unique shopping center … Malibu’s first in more than 30 years.
From 2 to 5 tomorrow afternoon … community members are invited to help celebrate the store’s grand opening with free family-friendly activities, including samples from local suppliers, face painting, live screen printing, games, music and more.
The new Whole Foods Market will open to the public Wednesday at 8 a-m.
Whole Foods Market Malibu will employ approximately 140 full-time and part-time employees .… most of them members of the grovery workers union.
Following the grand opening, the store will be open from 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. daily.
Whole Foods Market has 33 additional stores in the greater Los Angeles area.
The party is tomorrow .. 2 to 5 … at Cross Creek and Civic Center way in downtown Malibu.
