Scattered rain showers are still in the forecast for Malibu today.

It’ll be windy and cold … with wind gusts up to 35 miles an hour in the forecast.

As very cold air moves into the region tonight and tomorrow, snow levels will lower to 3500 feet … affecting the Grapevine and bringing light snow to Antelope Valley.

Here in Malibu … the showers will not be organized … they’ll will be hit or miss throughout the day.

Most areas will see only a tenth or two of additional rainfall today, although a few isolated areas could see up to a half inch of rainfall.

Rainfall intensities today will not warrant concern for any flooding.

Skies will not be as cloudy as they have previously been and partly to cloudy wording sums today up best.

And it looks like the rest of the week should be dry … but a mild rainstorm will arrive last Friday night or Saturday morning.

The City of Malibu planning department has okayed 15 permits so far … for temporary housing.

And with 15 applications made … that’s good news right???
Nope.

There’s the regular bottleneck in the city building safety plan check system … which continues to hold up construction … just like it always has.
