A committee of Santa Monica Mountain residents is reactivating its decade old call to build a fire defense system of sorts above Malibu.  Details: https://www.radiomalibu.net/fire-breaks-advocates-back/

Save the dates…. February 22 to 25.

A large U S Navy ship is going to pay a visit to Malibu as a port of call.

No details are being released yet for security reasons.

But it’s a big one.

Hundreds of sailors will be brought ashore at the Malibu Pier for shore leave.

And hundreds of Malibu residents will be taken out to visit the ship.

Interesting snow reports today from the Eastern Sierra.

This mornign at June Mtn … Abigail told us 4 feet of new snow.

25 miles away at Mammoth … Austin told us three inches.

So I asked Austin if he meant 3 inches or 3 feet.

He said inches.

Since then it has dumped. Total of 4 feet of new snow at Mammoth.

At June Mtn … 6 feet of new snow in last 24 hours.
