The California Public Utilities Commission has – incredibly – scheduled two important public reviews of electric safety rules for Malibu … at the same time … at the other end of the state.

Both start at 10 a-m Friday .

One in San Francisco … the other in Sacramento.

A mother and son found dead in a charred car during the Woolsey fire in a canyon in western Malibu last month have been identified.

The two were identified as Anthony Noubar Baklayan, 57, of Oak Park … and Shoushan Baklayan, 82, of Malibu.

They apparently burned to death in a car …  although that has not been completely confirmed by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office.

According to deputies … the son had fled from his home in Oak Park as the flames approached there …. and headed south into the Santa Monica Mountains to rescue his mother.

The fire overtook them on a long, winding driveway.

A third person … an elderly man … was found in a burned home in the 32000 block of Lobo Canyon Road in Agoura Hills.

He has yet to be identified as of Monday.

School resumes today at Malibu High School.

The high school and middle school kids started reporitng at 7:50 this morning

Air monitors have been installed by the school district at all 4 Malibu school campuses.
