Feldman In Line For New Contract – Will Make More Than LA Mayor

City manager Reva Feldman is in line for a raise.
The city council has revealed that it held a secret job evaluation session for the city manager.
The session was candid and thorough … says the city … but we don’t know what the issues were …. as it was conducted in secret.
Under Malibu’s weak city council arrangement … the five elected City council members yield executive power to an appointed city manager.
That’s not unusual in smaller California cities … nor is it unusual to have a secret job performance evaluation done.
But critics of the weak city council system point out that it keeps the public away … from the job evaluations for a very powerful non-elected official.
The Malibu city council reportedly found Feldman’s job performance to be “positive” … according to a report from city manager.
Under a proposed new three-year contract … Feldman’s contract would be extended from its current expiration in 2019 … for three years . into 2020…
This would of course lock in the next city council to that three-year dal.
Her salary would go up from 225 thousand dollars per year … to 260 thousand dollars per year in the final year.
The mayor of Los Angeles makes 232 thousand dollars per year.
A U-S Senator??? 174 thousand dollars per year.
Feldman’s new three year contract and raise go up for a vote … next week.
