3rd Nasty Crash In 2 Days Sends La Costa Pedestrian Out Via Chopper

Written by on May 15, 2019

A pedestrian was hit by a car last night on Pacific Coast Highway in eastern Malibu.

That’s bad car crash number three in two days.

It’s not clear yet exactly what happened … at about 8:20 p.m. at La Costa beach.

The person was hit midway between Carbon Canyon and Las Flores Canyon Road.

The victim was rushed to a helicopter paramedic unit … which landed at Topanga Beach to pick up the stricken person,

The victim was airlifted to a hospital … no word on her or his condition,

Three lanes of traffic were closed for a short time … while the investigators worked.

The crash was the third injury wreck on Malibu’s main street in two days.

And news comes from the sheriff’s office that the early morning crash yesterday … where a garage was wrecked by a riolloing car … was caused by street racing.

The car flew off the highway at Topanga Beach Drive, rolled and demolished a garage at 5:19 yesterday morning.

Two people were inside the sedan and injured.

Nobody in the house was hurt.

Sheriff’s deputies told KBUU News that a witness had spotted the sedan and another car racing, just before the crash.
