66 MPH Winds Hit Malibu – No Outages Planned (Or Unplanned) Here Yet

NO POWER OUTAGES IN MALIBU AS OF 7:05 AM
Edison may cut power over the hill, but Malibu is not on the list of planned power cuts this time.
Peak early morning Malibu area winds:
Upper Decker Canyon: 66.
Zuma Ridge: 62.
Above Paradise Cove: 51.
Upper Las Flores Canyon: 48.
Leo Carrillo Beach: 30.
KBUU Trancas: 39.Red Flags are up … and Santa Anas hit Malibu at about 4 this morning.
The NWS says red flags will be up until around 3 o’clock this afternoon.
A Red Flag Warning means the National Weather Service is predicting wins that are extreme enough to either caused or spread a fire.
Winds will be coming over the mountains at 20 to 30 miles an hour this morning and early afternoon… with gusts up to 50 miles an hour.
Gusty Santa Ana winds will only get stronger through this morning, peaking after daybreak and into the late morning hours.
Winds will weaken tonight … but will be blowing into tomorrow..
