Woman Living On PCH Bus Bench Taken To Hospital

Written by on June 13, 2020

The sad case of the woman at the street corner has entered a new phase.

The lady has been living on the bus bench at the corner of Pacific Coast Highway at Kanan Dume Road for more than a half year.

People had tried to approach her … to make friends with her … to earn her trust.

The city’s outreach workers.

Passersby.

Law enforcement.

Some people have posted details about her on social media … including her name.

We will not share them here.

Yesterday … four squad cars and an undercover unit were at the corner for four hours.

Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies took the woman to Olive View Hospital … a county full service hospital in the San Fernando Valley.

She was admitted for general medical care … officials tell us … but that is all they can say under federal law.

California law allows a person to be hospitalized involuntarily for 72 hours only.
