Voting in the California presidential primary was badly screwed up in Malibu this weekend.

The only voting center in Malibu was supposed to open Saturday mornign at 8.

The computer to check in voters never arrived … the polls never opened Saturdsy.|

A different problem on Sunday …. still no voting.

Replacement gear was delivered at 11 in the morning on Sunday … and voting finally started.

One man had to try three times to vote this weekend…

DISAPPOINTED VOTER: “Today is the second day that I’ve been here I didn’t come yesterday and now I’m here today.

“And in both cases the machines are not up and running because there’s parts missing that apparently have to come from the County recorder and they just simply haven’t made it yet.

REPORTER: “Are you disappointed?”

VOTER: “Well certainly, look I read the booklet, I’m going to be out of the country for the actual voting day so I thought I’ve got to get my vote in I’ve got to come early.

“I got up early this morning so I could come back again and vote and again – they’re not here, they’re not available.

“That just seems irresponsible to me.”

The voice of one frustrated voter.

One other voter said she was leaving the area Saturday … and lost her ability to cast a ballot.

It appears that the voting problems have been fixed at the only Malibu voting center that is open.

Voters may cast their ballots at the former Juan Cabrillo elementary school between 8 to 5 for the next seven days.

A second voting center will open up at Bluffs Park Saturday morning … it will also be open until next Monday from 8 to 5.

Both voting centers will be open from 7 AM to 8 PM on the final day of the election … next Tuesday.

Add more than 500 voting centers are open across Los Angeles County … any qualified person may registered to vote and then cast a ballot at any one of the voting centers anywhere in the county.
