Ventura County Health: ‘1,000 People Could Die In Our County’

Ventura County’s Public Health Officer warned the Board of Supervisors that the county could see increases up to 200 to 400 coronavirus cases a day that require hospitalization.”We could potentially have 1,000 people die in our county from COVID,” Dr. Robert Levin said.

Ventura County has reached 149 positive cases of coronavirus by last night (Tuesday).

That’s up 23.

The death toll in Ventura County increased to five, according to county public health officials.

Ventura County officials yesterday raised concern that residents were not taking social distancing efforts seriously.

Beaches up the coast were closed only this week.

Ventura County Sheirff Bill Ayub says some businesses over the hill and up the coast are refusing to close … as ordered by the governor.

Ventura County officials issued a new public health order yesterday … their first expansion of public health rules in two weeks.

It requires the closure of all campground and recreational vehicle parks, among other things.

Ventura County has secured four motels to house as many as 300 people who are homeless and at high risk because of their age or pre-existing health problems.
