Trump Orders Water Diverted From Salmon To Agribusiness

Written by on August 9, 2018

Earlier this week … we told you that President Trump believes that California is to blame for the wildfires hitting the states.

He tweeted that California is diverting water to the Pacific Ocean away from trees … and from firefighting efforts.

Said the oresident: “California wildfires are being magnified & made so much worse by the bad environmental laws which aren’t allowing massive amount of readily available water to be properly utilized.”

The president’s tweets were laughed off by many.

Turns out … it’s official White House policy.

U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross has directed UI-S Fisheries officials to “facilitate” access to water in order to aid in firefighting efforts in California.

Says the cabinet member: “The protection of life and property takes precedence over any current agreements regarding the use of water,”

That confuses firefighters … who say they are  not having any issues accessing any water supplies,” said Cal Fire spokesman Scott McLean. “We have plenty. The fires are right near reservoirs. We’re doing the job, we’re fighting the fight, we have the resources.”

What this really means?
The Trump administration will be diverting water from California rivers … where it is needed by endangered salmon … to California agribuisness.

We’re talking about giant corporate farms on the west side of the San Joaquin valley … planted with trees growing nuts for export to China.

Agribusiness companies like Pom Wonderful … big corporate givers to Republican causes.

The local Congressman up there???

Devon Nunes …  Trump’s surrogate on the House Investigations Committee.

National politics … trumping endangered fish .. in California rivers.
