Across Northern California … 14 thousand firefighters are battling 17 major blazes.

And now … one major wildfire in Orange County.

The Holy Fire broke out on the Holy Jim Trail … on Santiago Peak.

That fire might be visible from Malibu if the haze burns off… look for the volcano-like mountain near Disneyland.

It’s at 4 thousand acres with zero percent containment.

The only other major Southern California fire … the Cranston fire … is out.

That fire started two weeks ago at Idyllwild.

The electricity went back on up there yesterday … in the small community of Anza.

It was shut off two weeks ago … just as flames consumed the only power lines into the area.

Briefily … her’s a summary of the Northern California fires.

Two wildland fire have merged in Mendocino County … the Mendocino Complex is now nearly 450 square miles along Highway 20 east of Highway 101.

That monster is now the largest wildfire in modern California history.

The Ferguson fire remains aimed at Yosemite … it’s now 94,331 acres with 38% containment.

And the Carr Fire in Redding… having killed 7 … continues to burn away from civilization.

People are being allowed home in Redding.
