In news from up the coast … prepare for Exercise Pacific Blitz.

The Navy is planning war games just up the coast and we may hear it.

Naval Base Ventura County will participate in a training exercise next month that may cause increased traffic and noise disturbances next month for the surrounding area.

Exercise Pacific Blitz will take place from March 12-26 at the Point Mugu base as well as other training facilities throughout Southern California.

Security activities may cause delays getting onto the base … plus excess noise and increased traffic around the base.

The exercise is designed to test the base’s ability to communicate, plan and conduct operations by rehearsing responses to various scenarios on both land and water, according to Navy officials.
