Coastal Talking Low Cost Overnights For Malibu

Written by on January 8, 2019

The California Coastal Conservancy wants to increase the amount of overnight lodgings in Malibu … and that means more overnight rentals.

The Coastal Conservancy is an affiliate of the Coastal Commission … the two agencies work hand in hand to improve visitor access along the coast.

And Malibu has long been a sore spot for the two agencies.

A state law passed two years ago requires the Coastal Commission to expand new lower-cost coastal accommodations.

Low Cost overnight coastal accommodations are lacking in Malibu … more so than anywhere else along the coast … according to the coastal commission.

Today … there is a statewide meeting on how to do this.

It’s a webinar … open to anyone in the state.

And they will talk about Malibu.

We have a link to the webinar posted at the KBUU Facebook page … and on the KBUU newswire.
