The amazing saga of the Southern California Edison intentional power outages continues.  The power company files a report with the CPUC that misleads and obfiscates.  Details: https://www.radiomalibu.net/sce-report-misleads-cpuc/

A small aircraft apparently made a safe … emergency landing right next to Pacific Coast Highway on the way to Santa Monica.

The airplane is currently parked near Temescal Canyon Rd. next to PCH.

A big traffic jam developed ….  as people slowed down to look at the flashing lights in the unusual sight.

By 8 o’clock in the morning … the police and fire trucks cleared out … and the traffic not so slow.

No word yet on what went wrong.

Or if the 1973 Pipe Cherokee will be towed off.

The airplane does not look to be damaged.

Channel 11 is reporting the airplane may be part of a movie shoot.

But there was a big public safety response this morning … emergency vehicles surrounded the aircraft.

Santa Ana winds are supposed to be with us thru Sunday … but mild ones.

The fire was reported at about 5 along Topanga Canyon Boulevard … near the summit.

The road was closed for more than one hour.

Classes at Cal State University Channel Islands are canceled today.

The school campus 20 miles up the coast from Malibu was rocked when a student was shot by a woman on the campus yesterday morning.

The attack was in a restroom in the heart of the college campus near Camarillo.

The Ventura County Star reports an emergency alert sent by the university officials about an hour after the shooting … at noon.

Police Chief Michael Morris told the Ventura County Star there was a delay between the assault and the time they received their report.

The shooter is described as a woman with medium complexion, about 24 or 25 years old and wearing a gray shirt, black pants and gray Converse shoes.

Her gun … described as a silver handgun.

The CSU Channel Islands campus is isolated in a canyon and orange groves … near Point Mugu … about 20 miles west of Trancas.
