11 coronavirus cases in L A now.

Seven cases involve a group of travelers who visited northern Italy, where coronavirus has cause widespread outbreaks.

Two of those are connected to close contact to a coronavirus patient.

Another one is a Los Angeles International Airport worker.

Three students at UCLA are sick … and awaiting test results to see if they have COVID-19.

Even with the new cases, testing still hasn’t shown any community spread of COVID-19 in Los Angeles County, officials said.

Chaos is reported at some L A Count hospitals … where a shortage of test kits for Coronavirus is endangering the health of some patients.

“Technical assistance teams” will be sent over the next week to inspect temporary housing facilities, including homeless shelters.

Forecasts are changing.

Saturday looks pretty gloomy with lots of clouds and some

light showers at times but more so in the mountains and Central

Coast.

Sunday looks more sunny than first thought.

But a big storm will wash ashore Monday Tuesday and Wednesday.

It looks like we might tap into a subtropical aerial river in our area Monday with an increasing chance of showers moving in from the southwest. This will begin a roughly three day stretch of wet weather that models seem to think will peak in intensity Tuesday.

There`s some decent energy with a front coming in Tuesday …

so at some point the NWS may have to consider adding thunderstorms to the forecast.

We`ll likely see periods of moderate to heavy rain … the computers indicate rain amounts in the 1-3″ range … with the bulk

of that falling Tuesday.

Traffic … in 65 seconds … first …
