Two people escaped injury in a two-car crash on Kanan-Dume Road north of the tunnels last night.

The C H P reports that the crash was at about 9:45 last night …  just north of Tunnel 3 on Kanan Dume Road.

It was a two-vehicle crash … with a white BMW sedan reported over the side.

A caller told the CHP that at least one person climbed out of the canyon … looking obviously injured.

A white Chrysler Town and Country was also involved.

The CHP checked local hospitals but could not find any crash victims … as of late last night.

And a KBUU listener told us this morning that the BMS came across lanes at high speed .. clipped the vehicle … and flew into the canyon.

The man and the woman inside ran away … by flagging down a passing car.

The C H P is investigating.

An unusually busy week at Malibu City Hall this week.

The regular city council meeting is tonight.

The issue of rat control at businesses … many of which seem to be unable to close their garbage bins properly … is on the agenda.

The Malibu City Council will hold a special council meeting Wednesday to discuss the issue of homelessness in Malibu.

The topic is huge and controversial …

The city will take up the impact of homelessness on the community, and the measures being taken to address homelessness.

The meeting is at 6 Wednesday night.

And on Thursday evening …. the City is hosting a workshop with California Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara and Assembly member Richard Bloom regarding the Woolsey Fire.

The insurance commissioner will offer community members help and information on their wildfire claims and answer insurance questions.

A town hall meeting will take place from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by free, confidential, one-on-one appointments with Insurance Department staff from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Call 800-927-4357 to schedule a one-on-one appointment with California Insurance Department staff. Walk-ins will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Santa Ana winds later this week.

In fact …. strong mountains winds will start Tuesday night.

And they will get stronger and warmer all week … culminating with full fledged Santa Anas by Friday.

That’s unusual for this time of the year … but may be a harbinger of the year-round Santa Anas in Southern California that some climate experts have warned us of.

Traffic … in 65 seconds … first …
