“It is a turning point.

“Now we can start counting homes completed.

“To be sure we have a long way to go.

“There are hundreds of families working hard to get their homes rebuilt and to get resettled and we all support them.”

For city manager Reva Feldman … this was a good thing.

“This is a day that Malibu really needed.

”I would like to thank everyone who helped us get here, who helped Laurioe and her family get in her home so quickly. “

And homeowner Laurie Brennan credits contractors … city workers … people she never met.

That’s why she invited TV camera into her house yesterday.

It was the people that came along the way.

“It was not me.

“It was the people that came out here and I literally had framers who came out here and told me ‘I am so honored to be the first Woolsey house to be rebuilt.’ ”

Proud new homeowner Laurie Brennan … in Malibu West.
