COVID-19 Test Is Positive For One Employee At Point Dume Juice Store

73 cases of Coronavirus still in Malibu.

But the case count in the Santa Monica Mountains is up one … to 77.

Sunlife Organics is reassuring its customers that an employee  … who tested positive test last week  … had not been in the Point Dume shop for one week before that.

Speaking for Sunlife … Khalil Rafati wrote on the NextDoor platform that a female employee had worked at the Point Dume Sunlife Organics as late as July 15th … and was totally fine … she worked a shift with zero symptoms.

A week after that employee’s last shift … she tested positive for COVID-19.

The store spokesman said she had no symptoms.

She notified the story … and every employee has been told to get tested …

This was an isolated incident and took place 2 weeks ago … the store spokesman says.

The Sunlife Organics spokesman says the shop follows all the precautionary guidelines recommended by the Health Department as well as the CDC.

And the store has been going above above and beyond … extra steps:

A hand sanitizing station with free hand sanitizer, gloves and masks … using a third party to do a thorough nightly deep cleaning of the store every single night… and  checking employees’ temperature at the beginning of each shift.

Experts … however … say a person can have COVID 19 for weeks with no symptoms at all … no increased temperature.

Yet they can still spread the disease.

Again … persons who do not show symptoms such a s a high temperature … can infect others.

Particularly if they do not wear face masks.

Sunlife Organics is one of several stores still serving food at local shopping areas.
