Bars Reopen – Add Drunks Into The Mix Of Racers and Loud Idiots On PCH

Written by on September 10, 2020

Malibu roads are being taken over by racers … unmuffled muscle car idiots … motorcyle daredevils … and loud exotic car nutcases … particularly at night.

But now … with bars and restaurants reopening … the local sheriff says the problem of drunk drivers is spicing up the mix.

The  Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station announced it will be hold a drunken driver checkpoint this Friday night at an undisclosed location within Malibu city limits.

According to the standard press release from the sheriff’s office. .. the primary purpose of checkpoints is not to make arrests, but to promote public safety by deterring drivers from driving impaired.”

The easing of stay-at-home restrictions, with more and more bars and restaurants being allowed to open … means its time to resume looking for signs that drivers are under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

How this checkpijnt will affect the motorized idiots … easy to predict.

Word will spread … and they will come back a different night.

Funding for this program was provided by am anti-drunken driving  grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety.

Sadly … there are no state grants fo fight the other dangerous … unsafe and loud idiots clogging Malibu and the mountains.

Oh … by the way … drunken drivers face an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties, …as well as a suspended license.
