2 Possible Suicide Cases in 18 Hours on Malibu-Area Roads

Ventura County homicide detectives are at Point Mugu this morning.
A car was spotted driving at high speed on Pacific Coast Highway … in the predawn darkness … its headlights off … at high speed in the curves along the coast road.
It smashed into Mugu Rock… possibly an intentional act.
Traffic was not substantially affected.
Meanwhile … L-A County sheriff’s homicide detectives … investigating the discovery of a body inside a vehicle parked along Malibu Canyon Road yesterday. [Sunday]
Witnesses say a newer white or silver Jeep was found parked on the southbound side … at the pullout just south of the tunnel …. deep in the canyon.
Deputies were called out on a suspicious vehicle call and draped a sheet over the driver’s side.
No word of any homicide … raising the possibility of a suicide.
