Surf To 8 Feet, Temps to 104

High surf and excessive heat warnings are up for the Malibu.

Tropical Storm John … is churning around south of Cabo San Lucas.

Surf  will begin to move into the Southern California coastal waters this afternoon, peak Friday into Saturday, then begin to subside slowly.

Surf will build this afternoon through tonight, peaking  at 5 to 8 feet Friday through Saturday.

At the same time, there will be very high lunar tides … around 7 feet during the evening hours.

High tides  between 7.0 to 7.5 feet are expected this evening at around 719 tonight … tomorrow at 807 pm PDT, and  Saturday evening at 854 pm PDT.
