Longtime U-S Senator Diane Feinstein coasted to a first place showing in the United States Senate race …. with a 44 percent vote.
She will face another California Democrat in the general election …. Former state Senate leader
Kevin De Leon … who knocked off republican challengers and won 11.3 percent.
Although there will be two Democrats in the US Senate race … not so in the local congressional race.
Two Democrats and one Republican were running from Congressional District 33.
One of them … incumbent congressman Ted Lieu … one of the biggest and loudest critics of President Donald Trump.
Lieu coasted into first … with a 61% plurality.
Republican Richard Wright … a south bay dentist … Will again challenge Lieu.
He got 31% of the vote.
Another Democrat … Emory Rodgers … got 8%.
