One Lucky Malibu Guy Will Get a Half Million Dollar Sewer Bill

How would you like a half million dollar sewer bill?
That’s the amount that Malibu Colony Plaza’s owner will pay the City of Malibu next year … to treat sewage from the Ralphs Shopping Center.
The bill will go to Stan Kroenke … the billionaire owner of the shopping center and the L-A Rams.
The city is getting ready to send out its first round of bills for using the new sewage plant.
The bills will be attached to property taxes … and collected by LA County on behalf of the city.
Overall … just over $1 million in sewer use bills will be sent out by the city next year.
Phase 1 of the sewer plant is going into operations now.
The only buildings is connected to it are commercial projects in the civic center area.
Negotiations are going on between the city and homeowners in the civic center area … to see if they will connect to the sewer plant as ordered by the State Water Board.
