City Demands Builders To Obey Health Rules To Prevent Sickness

Written by on April 2, 2020

Malibu officials are looking at construction workers … and demanding they practice social distancing rules on the job.

The city is asking every owner or contractor to designate a site specific COVID-19 supervisor to enforce new health rules … which were drawn up by the City of Los Angeles.

The COVID 19 supervisors is to identify “choke points” and “high-risk areas” … and force employees to not stand close together.

Also … ensure 6 foot separation by workers when picking up or delivering equipment or materials.

The construction bosses are to stagger the trade workers as necessary to reduce density.

And discourage workers from using other workers’ phones, desks, offices, work tools and equipment.

Malibu officials noted that construction is deemed an essential activity.

Malibu is pointing to guidelines issued by the City of Los Angeles yesterday.
