5 Road Projects To Disrupt Traffic In Malibu

Five separate construction projects are continuing in and near Malibu.
County crews will be working to clear vegetation and brush along Malibu Canyon Road in the canyon through the end of the month.
Only one lane will be open for traffic in both directions to share … weekdays between 9 to 3.
City contractors will be removing and replacing guardrails … damaged by the Woolsey Fire … at various locations for the next fie or six weeks.
Those locations include guardrails along
- Encinal Cyn Rd (Avenida Del Mar to Avenida De La Encinal)
- • Birdview Ave (Westward Beach Rd to Bluewater Rd)
- • Wildlife Rd (Zumirez Dr to Selfridge St)
- • Latigo Cyn Rd (PCH to Ocean View Dr) and
- Corral Canyon Road.
Caltrans will continue closing Topanga Cyn Blvd overnights between PCH and Grand View Drive in Topanga village.
And at some hours … Caltrans flaggers will conduct one-way traffic control along various locations of Topanga Cyn Bl,.
These flaggers will be out at night.
At Point Dume … Caltrans contractors continue to work Monday through Friday all day to repair a collapsed storm drain pipe on PCH just west of the gas station at Heathercliff Road.
And on P C H … only one lane will be available in the eastern part of the city today and tomorrow.
Overnights … Caltrans will close a lane in each direction on PCH from the McClure Tunnel in Santa Monica to the Malibu Lagoon Bridge.
That big repaving project will see lane closures starting at 8 tonight … Friday night and Saturday nights… startung at 8 p-m and lasting until 6 in the morning.
Caltrans contractors are ripping out crumbling pavement … getting ready to resurface the entire roadway.’
That’s a big project … 5 and a half million dollars … to resurface P C H from Malibu Lagoon to the McClure Tunnel.
