Winds Above 40 MPH This Morning Hit After Brushfire Was Put Out

Red Flag Warnings are up for Malibu.

We’ve had gusts of 22 miles an hour here at KBUU studios in Trancas.

44 miles an hour clocked in Decker Canyon.

31 miles an hour above us … at Zuma Ridge.

36 miles an hour at Decker Canyon.

30 miles an hour at Upper Las Flores Canyon.

Red Flags are up in L.A and Ventura counties today until 10 o’clock tonight.

A mild Santa Ana wind … heat …. bone dry desert air.

Wind gusts of between 30 and 45 miles per hour are expected in L.A.

The humidity will increase tomorrow but the fire danger will still be high.

Northeast-to-east winds of 15 to

30 miles per hour with 45-mile-per-hour gusts are expected in mountain areas, along with to 45-mph gusts and humidity levels of 10-20 percent.

The red flag warning means  dangerous fire weather … with winds of 10-25 mph forecast 35-mph gusts and humidity levels of 10-15 percent,.

Due to safety concerns in Red Flags … Southern California Edison has pulled down its paint crews working in Malibu Canyon … where they are painting the brand new steel towers that they just put in.
