Peak Pushes Back Against Absenteeism Charge

Written by on September 28, 2018

Malibu city council member Skylar Peak says it’s not his fault that the city council could not meet for nearly the entire month of September.

One meeting was cancelled in the middle of the month.

And the second meeting was pushed back two days …. to ensure that all five city council members could attend.

Sources connected to two city council members … who would not allow their names to be used … said work was piling up because peak was on a vacation to Bali.

Peak tells KBUU News that was not true.

NEWSCART 77844  PEAK MEETING     :17   QQQQQ: AS A RESULT OF THAT.

“That’s not at all true.

“There was a meeting that was scheduled in the beginning of September which was moved because of the Jewish holiday.

“I actually was prepared to be here at that meeting.

“And I had to change a whole bunch of flights at my own expense, as a result of that.”

Peak phoned in from Bali …. at the earlier meeting in September.

This week’s meeting of a city council zoning subcommittee was cancelled … lack of a quorum … as city council members apparently cannot agree over when to have meetings.
