CORRECTED AT 12:20 PM MON SEPT 24:  The original story said Fiji, that was an error, it has been corrected to Bali, and KBUU regrets the error.

The Malibu city council has not met for four weeks …. and it will not meet tonight.

The regular meeting two weeks ago was cancelled … the regular meeting for tonight … postponed until Wednesday.

No official reason given … but the work is piling up.

K B U U News has been told by two sources …. over the weekend … that the reason for the delay is city councilman Skylar Peak’s trip to Bali.

We will reach Skylar Peak for comment on that … but in the meantime … yet another matter has been added to the marathon Wednesday night agenda.

Or rather …. Wednesday afternoon.

At 2:30 Wednesday afternoon … the city council zoning subcommittee will meet on a proposal to allow commercial lots to be used as standalone pay parking lots.

Peak is a member of the committee.

The subcommittee meets at 2:30 … a secret session on possibly filing two lawsuits is at 4 … the council meets at 5 … and the proposed crackdown on short term rentals is on the agenda … guaranteeing a late night session.
