  • =   Rain tonight … but apparently not much.
  • =   Anger … pain and fury … expected from the public at the Malibu City Council tonight.
  • =   The city will declare a local emergency … and likely override the LCP to allow rebuilding.
  • =   Inspections began yesterday … as 4 governments work to clear the rubble of hazmat stuff.
  • =   As for Southern California Edison … its parent company is in trouble.
  • =   The school district is gong to federal court … to get permission to stop cleaning PCBs from buildings slated to be torn down.

Rain is coming tonight and tomorrow.

But just how much rain is a bit of a mystery.

Winds will be blowing in an unusual pattern … with the highest amounts of rainfall this time off in the ocean.

No major flooding is predicted … there are no evacuation orders for Malibu.

Malibu’s city council will meet tonight … expect a huge uproar.

The L.A. County Fire Department began sending hazmat inspection teams out yesterday.

It filled up Malibu with smoke and fear.

24 people killed in the fire … and the subsequent mud disaster in Montecito and Santa Barbara.

It cost about 2.5 billion dollars in damages.

It was apparently started on electric lines operated by Southern California Edison.
