The Coastal Commission last Friday handed Malibu a 12-to-zero defeat on the concept of removing Rindge Dam from Malibu Canyon.
The Commission approved exactly what Malibu asked for.

President Donald Trump arrives in Los Angeles tomorrow afternoon.
All aircraft operations … except airliners flying in or out of LAX … are banned from a 37 mile radius around Santa Monica Airport starting at 3:30 p.m. …
Expect street closures in the Beverly Hills area …. although we expect the president to use helicopters to across the westside.
KBUU News observed Marine helicopters flying back and forth across the westside yesterday … including an Osprey fixed wing plane/chopper hybrid … sometimes used as Marine One.

After that … expect it to be ((( clouding up )))) tonight … a low of (((( 58 )))) on the beach … down to (((( 57 )))) in the canyons.
Tomorrow … (((( rain likely … mainly after 11 in the morning. 60 percent chance of rain.
The big storm … however … arrives Wednesday night. )))).
At 9 a-m … at Trancas it’s (((( 57 )))) degrees.
In upper Malibu Canyon … (((( 51 )))) .
And at Civic Center Los Angeles … (((( 58 )))).
In the ocean … it’s (((( 54 )))) degrees in the water at Zuma Beach.
The lifeguards say the waves today are (((( 1 to 2 )))) feet high ….
Those are (((( poor to fair )))) surfing conditions …. according to the lifeguards.
((((( High tide is at 7:11 AM … at 4.6 feet .
Low tide is at 2:18 this afternoon.
A second high tide is at 8:51 … 3.7 feet. ))))
